Thursday Thoughts: Living on the fast lane

I see many people living life on the fast lane with their motto being "live fast , die young"

Their first quarter of life is spent trying everything and possibly anything life has to offer and after they reach their "peak" then it's all down hill from there. They go on to saying there's nothing left for life to give them. All doom and gloom.

The funny part is they've only touched the tip of the ice berg called life and barely experienced the full joy of living.

Going out for walk and the cold morning breeze grazes your skin, laughing at the dinner table with you family and all the small things in life that we fail to appreciate daily. Its the small things that give life that extra meaning to it.

Take the example of gasoline if you put a match stick next to it, it'll quickly ignite causing a large flame ball to appear and just as quick, the fire dies leaving no trace of anything behind.

However if you try to light fire wood, you'll first have to build the bon fire and carefully plan out how the bottom will have smaller sticks that will lead to larger fire wood. When you light it up, the fire will barely be visible but as time surely passes, the flame grows bigger and bigger then suddenly it is a bright magnificent flame which last for hours on end. Then as it dies down you will see the hot coals remaining, yes not as bright and hot like in its prime but dimmer and warmer as it dies out.
